Shunichi Kuryu
Profile
Mr. Kuryu started his career at the National Policy Agency in 1981 and spent a number of years at the National Policy Agency, prefectural police agencies, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Cabinet Secretariat.
He was appointed to Commissioner General of the National Police Agency from 2018 to 2020, and Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary from 2021 to 2024. Mr. Kuryu holds a B.A. in Law from the University of Tokyo.
